Ballet is one of the oldest and most exquisite forms of dance still alive today. It has captured and entertained the hearts of both the old and young; the very young in fact. Andy Garcia, 16, began practicing ballet since the age of 5 and has not stopped since. Born and raised in Austin, TX, he began an exciting and difficult journey that landed him here in Seattle, WA. Andy’s strong will, talent and dedication have made him an asset and pleasant surprise at the Pacific Northwest Ballet. He is one of the up-and-coming ballet dancers in all of the Northwest and has the potential to be a lead in any play nationwide.
The son of a hardworking mother and father, Andy has stays humble to his fame and continues to go to school while practicing between 6 to 8 hours a day. His strong work ethic and humorous personality make him a wonderful human being, but his passion and potential in ballet will one day make him one of the best dancers in the Pacific Northwest.
